Neil Howe Presents at Woodrow Wilson Center

Last Updated: Jul. 7, 2014

On Tuesday, January 27, LifeCourse Associates President Neil Howe co-hosted a discussion of his recent publication, The Graying of the Great Powers, at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in downtown Washington, DC. Howe and his co-author, Richard Jackson, discussed the effects that demographic changes would have on both the developed and developing world over the next half-century. The publication describes how population aging and population decline will constrain the ability of the United States and other developed countries to maintain national and global security  over the next few decades. It also examines the security implications of emerging demographic trends in different regions of the developing world.
